The short answer is yes! Most of our cameras are beginner friendly. If you are looking for something compact, simple, and extremely easy to use, we suggest looking in our point and shoot section. If you are a beginner to film photography you will learn that each film stock has a different style and tone. We recommend kodak gold, ultramax, and portra 400 for color negative film, or kodak tri-x 400 and Ilford HP5 for black and white negative film. 

As for the battery, most of our cameras come with batteries installed ready to shoot! Contact us with any questions regarding replacement battery purchased before or after purchasing.
