My Canon AL-1 is truly amazing.
I've read about the model since buying it from these fine folks, and found that it wasn't a smash hit like its sibling AE-1…so it's comparatively rare. I also read that many of these have a battery door that likes to pop open from the batts pushing against it b/c of the spring terminals and the small amount of purchase the battery door clasp was designed with. I have mine taped for good measure, but the camera I received from ViejitaVintageCamera has an EXCELLENT battery door.
When that's combined with the fact that the exterior of the unit is very nearly pristine, the camera feels like what a film company would need for a prop meant to be brand new in a movie set in the early 1980s.
Obviously I can't speak for every camera VVC sells, but I can say confidently that they know what they're doing.
